      To JYP Entertainment,

      I am writing as a fan who is deeply disappointed and frustrated by the way JYP Entertainment has handled the recent situation involving Xdinary Heroes’ Gunil.

      As an entertainment company entrusted with the careers and well-being of your artists, JYP Entertainment has a responsibility to protect its artists, listen to them, investigate situations fairly, and stand by them when they are vulnerable. What has happened surrounding Gunil has left many fans questioning whether that responsibility was upheld.

      Gunil is not simply an employee or a name on a roster. He is a person who has dedicated years of his life, his talent, and his passion to Xdinary Heroes and to the fans who support them. Before making an irreversible decision regarding his career, he deserved to be heard and supported.

      The situation has been especially painful because of Gunil’s own account of what happened. His decision to apologize and eventually speak about the truth behind his actions took courage. Learning that he had been dealing with circumstances involving an alleged assault makes the situation even more heartbreaking. Whatever mistakes may have been made, fans deserve to see a company approach such a serious matter with compassion, due process, and genuine concern for the artist involved.

      Instead, many fans feel that JYP Entertainment was far too quick to distance itself from Gunil.

      Is this what protecting your artists is supposed to look like?

      An allegation should not automatically become a person’s entire identity or career. Artists deserve the opportunity to explain themselves, be properly investigated, and receive support—especially when they are dealing with something as serious and traumatic as alleged violence against them.

      Removing Gunil does not only affect Gunil. It affects Xdinary Heroes as a whole.

      Xdinary Heroes have worked incredibly hard to establish themselves. They are an exceptionally talented group with a unique musical identity, and they were beginning to receive the recognition they deserved. Their bond as a group and the chemistry they have built together are part of what makes them special. Taking one member away has consequences not only for Gunil, but also for the other members and the future they have worked toward together.

      Fans should not have to watch an artist they love be discarded the moment a controversy arises.

      JYP Entertainment should be asking: How can we protect our artists? How can we support them? How can we make sure every side of a serious situation is heard before making a decision that could permanently alter someone’s life?

      We are asking JYP Entertainment to reconsider its decision regarding Gunil and to seriously consider bringing him back to Xdinary Heroes.

      This is not a demand that the company ignore wrongdoing or excuse harmful behavior. It is a demand for fairness, compassion, transparency, and accountability. Protecting an artist does not mean blindly defending everything they do. It means making sure they are treated as human beings and that decisions about their futures are made carefully, fairly, and with all relevant circumstances taken into consideration.

      Gunil deserves the opportunity to move forward.

      Xdinary Heroes deserve the opportunity to continue forward together.

      And fans deserve to know that the company supporting the artists we love will not abandon them at the first sign of controversy.

      JYP Entertainment, please listen to the fans who are asking you to reconsider. Please listen to Gunil. Please listen to Xdinary Heroes.

      Bring Gunil back. Protect your artists. Do better.

      We love Xdinary Heroes because of the music, the talent, the hard work, and the people behind it all. Please do not let one painful situation destroy something that so many people have worked so hard to build.
