Shinee makes the director's job so easy. There are very few kpop groups where all 5 members have strong and distinct vocals, especially in current generation, where they don't focus on vocals anymore.

Thank you so much for sharing the members recording! It’s so amazing to watch and listen to them add layer upon layer to the song and even the background sounds. Watching them record really shows us how they paint each stroke of their vocal painting that is their song. Side note: watching Key get shy when they complimented him gave me cuteness aggression! SHINee you did it again! I don't normally glaze kpop singers because Im a former Broadway pro and a snob, but SHINee is the exception. I also want to clear up common misattributions and drop some surprising takes.

Every SHINee song has a lead character and this title song it is Taemin. Producers make the others dub over that anchor. More on him later…
In-house vocal gymnast Onew has the most forward voice for the bridge climax, vocal director/arrangers placings, top notch baby…
Key is in top rested form, his specialty – holding dexterity and emotion at technically challenging points, all put to good use
And Minho's signature sultry attacks aside, that harmony game, that SOLID chest to head tone game, oh my oh my indeed!!

Onew chose his beautiful OST-vibe headtone voice there, but Taemin BELTED it because the meaning of that moment calls for that level of conviction

"Why are you so good?" was the most repeated phrase in this video and it's absolutely the right question here 🤩 trust SHINee to keep outdoing themselves every time they release a song, really, i'm absolutely in love with Atmos (the whole album, tbh) and one of the things i loved the most watching this video was the fact that they harmonized the hardest notes like it was nothing (GA – A – GA – WA — and Minho showing the paper slips in sync with the song had me giggling 🤭) 👌👏👏👏✨ i also love the ranges here, and i'll always love their vocal synergy 😍 and hearing their thoughts after recording is so nice as well, i love this new moment here 🥰 i just wish we got to see more of Taemin's recording, his part in the video felt so short 🥺 still, i'm very happy to see this, thank you so much!
