There is a clip somewhere of very young SHINee jogging while singing Love Like Oxygen. It shows how well- trained they were. That's why they were able to do difficult dance routines while singing as well as they did since they were teenagers.
Replay is great, but when in comes to early SHINee songs, Love Like Oxygen has my heart 💘 So glad you got to hear it. Loved the mention of Minho's dancing, if you see him today, he has such beautiful dance lines. If you continue down the SHINee rabbit hole, maybe one day you'll watch him performing Body Rhythm with SHINee or solo at Waterbomb, so fluid and natural (and hot).

His voice is incredible… It’s funny that you mentioned watching him at the airport. 😁 Our gentle leader is so funny, cute, brave and also incredibly gorgeous like all five members of SHINee! 🥰 He has a very successful solo career, like the other 4 members. Eventually it would be great if you checked out their solo work as well as continuing to explore more SHINee!
the live you chose is 100% live. it was a special stage 7 years after the song was released and the backtrack that Mcountdown had was very old and the members didn't sound like that anymore, so the members just said, that's fine, we'll go without and did it without any backing track what so ever, just pure live vocals.
Minho is actually the third best dancer in SHINee and SHINee are ALL good dancers. This is a man who's been keeping up with TAEMIN, arguably the best dancer in kpop, for 17 years now (and the same goes for the rest of them… Taemin did NOT allow for easy choreo, and the rest of them never actually learned how to say np to him…), the man can DANCE.
What you said at the end is known as the SHINee sound, they can do any and every genre under the sky but they ALWAYS sound like SHINee.

There's really no chance you won't like SHINee. You may not end up loving them, but they have great songs in a huge variety of genres, are obviously super-talented in every facet, and are just good people in general.
One of the things that stood out to me when I first started was just how many ad libs there are. All of them are doing it, but Jonghyun is just on another level. Sometimes it takes multiple listens to pick them all out.
And yes, SHINee is VERY live most of the time. Although it may not sound perfect, it is authentic and shows just how amazing they are at vocals while doing exhausting choreography.
Finally (sorry this is so long), but I do love how Minho and Key's raps are more "spoken undertone" that complements the vocals. Songs like 1000 Years, Better Off, and Sleepless Nights really show it.
